Erovana ("we", "us"), is a small online business based in Victoria, Australia. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit www.erovana.com, buy from us or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Order and contact details: your name, email, phone number (if you give it), and billing and delivery addresses
- Order history: what you bought, returns, refunds and messages with us
- Payment information: handled by Shopify and the payment providers shown at checkout. We don't see or store your full card number
- Account details: if you create an account
- Device and usage information: such as your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technology
How we collect it
Mostly directly from you: when you place an order, create an account, sign up for emails or contact us. Some information is collected automatically by our website and Shopify when you browse. We may also get delivery updates from carriers and our fulfilment partner.
Why we use it
- to process, fulfil, deliver and track your order
- to handle returns, refunds and customer service
- to prevent fraud and keep our store secure
- to understand how our site is used and improve it
- to send you marketing, but only if you've agreed to receive it
- to meet our legal obligations, such as tax and consumer law record keeping
Who we share it with
We only share what's needed for these purposes, with:
- Shopify: our online store and checkout platform
- Zendrop: our fulfilment partner, and the suppliers and warehouses it uses to pack and ship your order
- Payment providers shown at checkout
- Delivery carriers
- Service providers that host our website or provide our email and analytics tools
- Advertising platforms (such as Meta or Google), if we use their tools to measure or show ads
- Authorities, where the law requires it
We don't sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the providers above store or handle information outside Australia. Shopify, Zendrop and our website and email providers operate in countries including the United States, Canada and Ireland. Zendrop's suppliers and warehouses are mainly in China. Your order details (name, delivery address, phone number if given, and items ordered) are sent overseas so your order can be packed and shipped.
Cookies and analytics
Our site and Shopify's checkout use cookies and similar technology. These keep your cart working, help prevent fraud and show us how the site is used. If we use advertising tools, they may also measure how well our ads work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work properly. To opt out of personalised advertising, use the "Your Privacy Choices" option on our store or email us.
Marketing
We'll only send marketing emails or texts if you've agreed to receive them. Every marketing message has an unsubscribe link or opt-out option. You can also email us to opt out at any time. We'll still send emails you need about your orders.
Keeping it secure
We use reputable platforms and take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order records for as long as tax and consumer laws require (generally five years in Australia). When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll let you know and notify the regulator as required.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing us. We may need to confirm your identity first. We'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please email us first at contacterovana@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
Customers in the EU and UK
If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom, the GDPR or UK GDPR also applies. Erovana is the controller of your personal information. We process it:
- to perform our contract with you (fulfilling your order)
- to meet legal obligations
- for our legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and improving our store)
- with your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies)
You have the right to access, correct, delete or move your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Where your information is transferred outside the EU or UK, our providers (such as Shopify) rely on recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Our store isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Shopify also handles some information for its own purposes, as set out in the Shopify Privacy Policy (www.shopify.com/legal/privacy).
